Hi All, Has anyone managed to install HP drivers onto Server 2008? We have a user who works on the terminal server from a remote location, and when he prints, the printer just prints out garbage (all signs and numbers etc, not what he sent to printer!). This points at a driver problem, however, when i go to the HP website to download the latest drivers for the printer, i cant find anything for Server 2008 64bit. I have tried the Win7 and Vista drivers available for 64bit on the HP website, but still nothing works, they either say that the OS isnt supported or it just freezes/times out. I've heard that installing print drivers for 2008 R2 64bit is abit of a pain. Has anyone managed to accomplish anything similar? No-one has asked what printer it is, yet are suggesting the UPD - i find that strange.

Whats the printer model? Also, are you using TS Easy Print and what driver does the client have (i presume it's a redirected printer)? For example, the HP laserjet 1020 32bit latest drivers (dated 2009) do not work with 2008r2 easy print. You have to use an older 1020 driver (dated 2007) for it to work. This is done on the client side and is not server related even though it only occurs via RDS & Easy Print.
I am trying to figure out how to install print drivers on a 64Bit Windows Server 2008 Enterprise for printer redirection as the Remote Desktop Easy print isn't working. The server is configured with Remote Desktop Services and file services roles. I was trying to find the print management console, but it's not there. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: The server is outside our network, so I don't have any network printers to add, and just want to enable users to print to their local or a networked copier.
